WORKTOPS
The finishing touches of your kitchen are as important as the cabinets themselves and, as always, style choices are anything but limited. We work with many local suppliers to bring you the best accessories from walnut worktops to antiqued mirror splashbacks.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT WORKTOP FOR YOU
Balancing style, durability and maintenance to find the perfect surface for your kitchen and the way you live.
Every kitchen worktop material has its own strengths, both in appearance and performance. When designing bespoke kitchens in Exeter and across Devon, we consider how you cook, how much maintenance you are comfortable with and the overall look you want to achieve, guiding you towards the right surface for your lifestyle.

QUARTZ
Quartz worktops combine durability with design flexibility. Engineered from natural quartz crystals and resins, they are non porous, highly resistant to staining and require no sealing or ongoing maintenance.
Available in hundreds of colours and finishes, quartz can replicate the look of marble, concrete or stone while offering a more consistent surface. It is an excellent choice for busy households and keen cooks who want a refined aesthetic without the upkeep associated with natural stone.
For many of our clients, quartz offers the ideal balance between practicality and visual impact.

GRANITE
Granite is a natural stone, formed over millions of years, and every slab is entirely unique. Its distinctive veins, patterns and colour variations introduce depth and character that cannot be replicated.
Exceptionally durable and heat resistant, granite performs beautifully in high use kitchens. It does require periodic sealing to maintain its protective surface, but for many homeowners this is a small consideration in exchange for its authenticity and natural beauty.
Granite worktops are particularly suited to kitchens where individuality and organic texture are central to the design.

REAL WOOD
There is nothing quite like a real wood worktop. Its warmth, texture and evolving character bring softness and authenticity to a kitchen.
Timber surfaces can be sanded and refinished over time, allowing them to age gracefully. They do require regular oiling and care, particularly around sinks and water areas, but many clients appreciate the natural patina that develops with use.
Real wood is often chosen for islands, breakfast bars or feature areas, where its tactile quality can be fully appreciated.
LAMINATE
Modern laminate worktops have evolved significantly in both appearance and performance. Offering a wide range of colours, textures and realistic stone or wood effects, laminate provides an affordable and versatile solution.
It is easy to maintain and well suited to family kitchens or projects where budget is a key consideration. While not as heat resistant as stone or quartz, laminate remains a practical and attractive option for many homes.
For clients seeking style and value in equal measure, laminate can be an excellent choice.

SINTERED
Sintered stone worktops are engineered using extreme heat and pressure to create an ultra compact, highly durable surface. The result is a material that is resistant to heat, scratches, stains and UV exposure, making it ideal for hardworking kitchens and even outdoor applications.
Leading brands such as Neolith and Dekton offer a wide range of contemporary finishes, from refined marble effects to bold industrial tones. These surfaces can also be used for full height splashbacks and waterfall islands, creating a seamless, architectural look with minimal maintenance.
For those seeking cutting edge performance combined with modern design, sintered stone delivers strength without compromising on style.
