JOB VACANCY: GRAPHIC DESIGNER

With nearly 50 years of experience, System Six Kitchens is a family-run manufacturer and retailer of stylish, bespoke kitchens and bedrooms.


The ideal applicant for this exciting and varied role will be highly motivated and organised, with a real flair for creating engaging content across web, social media, and printed materials. They will be enthusiastic and work well as part of the Marketing Team – being a team player is an absolute must. They will need to be able to work to a brief, adapting their work to suit each of the company’s six different brands.

JOB DESCRIPTION - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


GRAPHIC DESIGN

 

  • Create visually appealing graphics for digital and print media, including social media posts, advertisements, brochures, banners, and email campaigns.

  • Develop and maintain the company’s six brand identities, ensuring consistency across all materials.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute compelling marketing campaigns.

  • Work closely with the wider organisation to meet our design requirements.

  • Prepare design files for print and digital distribution.

  • Assist in managing the company’s social media profiles, including generating content, providing design templates and guidance, updating our social media platforms, and monitoring industry trends to ensure the highest standards of information and value are offered.

  • Create animated videos for our digital marketing.


WEBSITE MANAGEMENT

 

  • Day-to-day management and updating of the company’s six websites using WIX, ensuring content is current, engaging, and compliant with our brand guidelines.

  • Design and implement new website features and functionalities to enhance user experience.

  • Monitor website performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute website strategies that align with overall marketing goals.

  • Ensure website design and functionality are aligned with SEO best practices.

  • Create landing pages and optimise website content for lead generation.



PROJECT MANAGEMNT


  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project requirements in a fast-paced environment.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure project objectives are met.



RESEARCH AND INNOVATION


  • Stay updated on the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.

  • Propose innovative design ideas and improvements to enhance the company’s visual identity and online presence.



 

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field.

  • Comparable role-based proven graphic design and social media experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

  • Proficiency and confidence in using the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects).

  • Experience managing websites using WIX or similar platforms.

  • Strong understanding of web design principles, including responsive design, user experience, and SEO best practices.

  • Good understanding of Google Analytics, tagging, and tracking.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Attention to detail and a creative mindset.

  • Understanding of graphic design, digital, and social media.

  • Good copywriting skills and knowledge of digital marketing concepts.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Excellent eye for detail.

  • Ability to work to the highest standards while meeting deadlines.


 

Reporting To: The Marketing Manager 

Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Pay: £25,000-29,000 DOE

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field.

Experience: Similar role: 2 years(preferred)

Work Location: Office based, Exeter
