If something durable and long-lasting is your preference, then our Granite worktops are fantastic. However, if you want to take things to the next level, then opt for a Quartz or Corian worktop as the production of these materials has much less of an impact on the environment than the mining that is required for granite. One of the easiest ways you can improve your efficiency and environmental impact every day is by thinking about the household appliances you use. Here are two of our recommended environmentally friendly upgrades:
Induction Hob
One of the problems with gas cooking is that it can be inefficient. This is because up to 65% of the energy produced is wasted and ends up in the atmosphere and heating up your kitchen!
Induction cooking is a much more direct method of cooking with approximately 90% of the energy being delivered straight to your food.
Induction cooking is inarguably more environmentally friendly as induction hobs can be powered by renewable energy sources. Gas hobs, on the other hand, rely on natural gas to power them, which is a fossil fuel.
