Designed by Richard Parnell, this sophisticated kitchen showcases the enduring quality and craftsmanship that System Six Kitchens has delivered to customers for decades.
THE DESIGN
Having first chosen System Six Kitchens in the 1980s, this loyal customer returned once again to create a kitchen that combines modern functionality with timeless appeal. Designed by Richard Parnell, the new layout was carefully planned to complement recent building alterations, ensuring the finished space feels both seamless and contemporary.
The kitchen blends Linden Aluma Concrete Flow and Light Grey cabinetry to striking effect, balancing texture and tone to create depth and warmth. Siemens appliances, including integrated ovens in the wall cabinets and a venting hob set within the island, add a refined, high-performance edge to the design.
THE RESULT
At the heart of the room sits a multi-functional island, featuring an elegant framed edge in Sand Grange Oak. This detail not only enhances the design but also forms a welcoming spot for casual dining and conversation. The Ammonite Dream Quartz worktops complete the look with their soft, natural veining. This is a perfect contrast to the industrial-inspired door finishes.
Bespoke open shelving on the left wall adds character and practical display space, giving the kitchen a lived-in warmth that reflects the owners’ personality. Every element, from the clean architectural lines to the tactile mix of materials, has been designed with longevity in mind, resulting in a kitchen that feels modern today and will continue to feel timeless for years to come.

"I have used System 6 in the past, in the 80's & 2000's, but not in the last 20 years. As my son still lives in a house where we fitted a System 6 kitchen for him around 2005 and it still looks good, I had no hesitation in considering them for my own kitchen project.
Richard Parnell who designed it was helpful and supportive throughout the whole process as we had to complete some building alterations prior to us receiving and fitting the new kichen. It was supply only as we did all the preparations and final fitting. Everything went to plan and we are very pleased with the final result and I'm sure we will have many years of enjoying this new space within our house.
You could find cheaper and you could spend a lot more but we believe we have a great kitchen that will last for many years at a realistic price. Every other person we dealt with at System 6 including the delivery guys, office staff and other members of staff have always been helpful and resolved any minor issues if they occurred."
