REED GREEN MAKEOVER
This project was created for a busy family in Exeter who are renovating their home with the goal of building a space that feels both functional and welcoming. Their previous kitchen lacked storage and structure, so designing cabinetry that could organise the everyday was essential.
THE DESIGN
The kitchen is created in our Pennington door style, finished in Reed Green. This warm, earthy tone brings depth and character while still keeping the room bright and calm. Pennington’s classic profile gives the cabinetry a subtle heritage feel that suits the age and style of the home, without compromising the clean, modern layout the family wanted.
Ammonite Calcatta Oro 20mm worktops were chosen for their refined veining and soft tonal movement. The surface adds a gentle elegance that ties the cabinetry and appliances together.
STORAGE AND BESPOKE FEATURES
Storage was a key priority, and the design incorporates several bespoke elements to provide a place for everything. A hidden bifold door leads into the utility, allowing the family to keep the main kitchen clear and clutter free. A custom spice rack gives dedicated organisation for cooking essentials, while the wine rack introduces both practicality and a personal touch.
A bi-fold bar cabinet with internal glass shelving becomes a standout feature, offering a dedicated space for drinks and glassware that can be neatly concealed when not in use. These additions give the kitchen structure and rhythm while supporting a busy lifestyle.
At the heart of the cooking area sits a SMEG range cooker framed by a bespoke mantel. This creates a natural focal point and brings architectural interest to the space. The NEFF dishwasher ensures clearing up is effortless, and the Quooker boiling water tap adds instant convenience for drinks and cooking.
These appliances were selected for reliability and performance, allowing the kitchen to support both everyday routines and family gatherings.

Crafted from solid oak, this elegant holder keeps stemware neatly displayed and easy to reach. Designed to sit within a bar or drinks cabinet, it adds warmth, organisation and a touch of refinement to the space.
HIDDEN ROOMS
Discreetly integrated doors reveal additional spaces such as utilities or pantries, preserving the clean lines of the main kitchen. These concealed rooms keep everyday tasks out of sight while enhancing the flow and functionality of the home.
BESPOKE BAR CABINET
A beautifully tailored cabinet designed for entertaining, complete with bifold doors, internal glass shelving and dedicated storage for drinks and glassware. It creates a refined feature within the kitchen while keeping everything organised and ready to enjoy.
