COUNTRYSIDE IN-FRAME PINK KITCHEN
When Caroline and James first visited our Exeter showroom, they imagined a green kitchen for their converted barn in South Devon. But the moment they saw our Bampton display in Dry Rose, everything changed.
THE DESIGN
When Caroline and James first visited our Exeter showroom, they imagined a green kitchen for their converted barn in South Devon. But the moment they saw our Bampton display in Dry Rose, everything changed. Drawn to its softness and warmth, they instantly knew it was the right choice. With Caroline’s strong eye for interior design and Anna Coles' guidance, their vision came to life in a kitchen that is both timeless and full of personality.
Anna worked closely with Caroline and James to understand how they would use their space, focusing not only on practicality but on creating something that felt right for the architecture and character of their home. The result is a beautifully balanced design, rooted in tradition but with contemporary touches that elevate every corner. The collaboration was fluid and thoughtful, with Anna advising on layout, finishes and how to make the most of the barn’s proportions.
THE RESULT
At the heart of the space is a large central island, designed for family life. It’s a place to prep, gather and unwind, with ample seating and integrated storage. At one end, an oak larder becomes a design feature in itself. It includes matching oak spice racks, engraved oak dovetail drawers marked ‘CAKES’ and ‘BREAD’ and internal sensor-activated LED lighting, a blend of heritage detailing and modern functionality.
The cabinetry is framed with Moulded Skirting Plinths and Cornices, adding definition to the in-frame doors and reinforcing the timeless aesthetic. Deep Oak dovetail pan drawers provide plenty of storage while maintaining a clean, uncluttered look.
Opposite the island sits the Leckford Deluxe Rangemaster in Stone Blue. It adds a beautiful pop of colour, bringing contrast and character that perfectly complements the soft Dry Rose cabinetry. Above it, a bespoke Saltram Canopy and painted corbels, crafted in a combination of Oak and Dry Rose, frame the range. An Antique Mirror Splashback completes the setting, bouncing light back into the room and adding a gentle glamour.
FINISHING TOUCHES
The worktops and upstands are finished in Quartz Ammonite in Dream White, chosen for their delicate, marbled appearance and durability. A BLANCO sink and matching BLANCO boiling and filtered water tap in gold add a refined metallic accent that ties the look together.
On the opposite side of the room, two NEFF fridge freezers are discreetly integrated behind Bampton in-frame doors, continuing the seamless aesthetic across the entire kitchen.
This kitchen captures the charm of its surroundings while reflecting the personality of its owners. It’s stylish yet practical, characterful but considered, offering a warm welcome every time you step through the door.
