Created for a busy family home in Exeter, this kitchen was designed to offer exceptional functionality without compromising on style. The homeowners wanted a space that could cope with the demands of family life while feeling calm, contemporary and full of personality.

Richard Parnell achieved this by combining our Shaldon shaker door in two complementary colours. The perimeter cabinetry is finished in Cardamom, while the statement island is painted in Deep Forest, creating a bold focal point within the open-plan space. The contrasting colours are beautifully balanced by Ammonite Valencia quartz worktops, bringing brightness and durability to the design.

Storage was carefully considered throughout. Spacious Shaldon larder cabinets provide generous pantry storage, while pull-out wire storage keeps everyday essentials organised and easily accessible. Bespoke oak cutlery inserts add another layer of organisation, ensuring every drawer is as practical as it is attractive.

A full suite of Neff appliances is seamlessly integrated into the cabinetry, complemented by a Quooker tap for instant boiling water. Hendel & Hendel handles complete the furniture with a refined finishing touch that perfectly suits the understated shaker styling.

Beyond the kitchen, the design continues into a dedicated utility room finished in Linden Wild Olive. Sliding doors conceal extensive storage, creating a clean and uncluttered space while providing a practical area for laundry and household tasks.
