When Dan and Katie set out to build their forever home, they started with a blank canvas, demolishing the original property to create a space tailored entirely to their growing family.
THE DESIGN
When Dan and Katie set out to build their forever home, they were doing more than starting from scratch, they were rebuilding on the site of a much-loved family home, creating a brand-new space.
At the heart of their new home sits a kitchen designed by Anna Coles, combining timeless elegance with thoughtful practicality. They chose Bampton, our classic in-frame door, painted in Cannon Black to create a bold and refined atmosphere. The dark cabinetry is beautifully offset by Quartz worktops and upstands in CQ Everest 30mm, adding texture and contrast to the design.
THE RESULT
Every element of the kitchen has been carefully considered. A mantle shelf frames the cooking area, while Cornices and Moulded Skirting Plinths bring a sense of heritage and detail throughout. A barrel base cabinet with integrated Walnut chopping boards introduces a handcrafted, traditional feature at the centre of the room.
Rich Walnut accents run throughout the kitchen, adding warmth and depth. A Walnut bar cabinet with glass shelves, antique mirror backing, LED lighting and a Walnut wine glass holder makes for an elegant entertaining area. This is complemented by a bespoke Walnut larder cupboard with dovetail drawer boxes and a matching cutlery tray, blending luxury with everyday function.

The kitchen is fully equipped with premium appliances, including a NEFF Induction Hob with downdraft extraction, NEFF Dishwasher and a Quooker Boiling Water Tap in Patinated Brass, chosen for both performance and aesthetic appeal.
To ensure the whole home feels cohesive, Anna also designed a utility room in our Shaldon style, painted in Cannon Black and finished with Cornices to echo the main kitchen.
