DESIGNED AROUND DAILY LIVING
This in frame Rougemont kitchen was designed by Richard Parnell for homeowners who needed a fresh start. Earlier in the year, their original kitchen had been damaged by flooding, giving them the opportunity to rethink the space entirely.
THE DESIGN
Richard guided the homeowners through a full redesign, creating an in-frame layout that blends classic proportions with practical storage solutions. Every door in this kitchen is fitted with polished butt hinges, a hallmark of true in frame craftsmanship. The cabinetry is finished in Rougemont Light Teal, bringing depth and warmth to the room while complementing the natural stone details.
A large central island forms the heart of the kitchen, providing preparation space, casual seating and ample storage. The island, along with the surrounding cabinetry, is topped with Ammonite Diamond White Quartz worktops, upstands and a full height splashback. This features a bright white surface with subtle mirror chips that create a sparkling effect.
BESPOKE FEATURES
Several bespoke elements were built specifically for this project, including solid Oak Dovetail drawers and a handcrafted mantel above the hob. In the corner of the kitchen, a LeMans unit ensures every inch of space is accessible, making daily cooking effortless for the family.
The standout feature is a one of a kind plate rack designed and built by our CEO, Ian Foster. The previous kitchen featured a plate rack the homeowners had always loved, so Ian recreated it for their new space, ensuring it matched the scale, detailing and character of the original. This bespoke piece is both meaningful and highly practical.
Each year the homeowners host a party for around forty friends and neighbours, so generous storage for plates, cutlery, champagne flutes and glasses was essential. The plate rack sits proudly within the kitchen, providing impressive storage capacity while becoming a defining visual feature of the design.

The kitchen is completed with Hendel and Hendel handles, which complement the in frame cabinetry and bring a refined finishing detail to each door and drawer. Combined with the handcrafted joinery and carefully considered layout, these touches create a sophisticated and durable kitchen that will serve the family for many years.

Crafted from solid Oak with traditional dovetail joints, these drawers offer exceptional strength and longevity. Their warm natural finish adds depth to the cabinetry while providing beautifully organised storage that is built to last.

Positioned above the hob, this bespoke mantel adds architectural detail and balance to the cooking area. Its refined proportions frame the space beautifully, creating a classic focal point that enhances both the design and functionality of the kitchen.

This tall pull out larder keeps everyday ingredients organised and easy to reach. Designed for maximum visibility and effortless access, it ensures the kitchen stays tidy while making the most of every centimetre of storage space.
