With over 45 years of experience, System Six Kitchens is a family-run manufacturer and retailer of stylish, bespoke kitchens and bedrooms.
As a Woodworking Machine Engineer, you will be responsible for the fluid running of the machinery in the factory. Working with the servicing and maintenance schedules of each machine to work on prevention always being better than the cure of a broken-down machine. You will require to be on call when not in the factory (With the exception of annual leave).
Responsibilities
Create and maintain Daily/Weekly/Monthly Maintenance schedules
Create and maintain incident/service logs for each machine
Create and maintain a machine register with schedules and manufacturer/supplier details within
Assist in quality control of product tolerances from automation and processing.
Extraction maintenance – Responsible for all internal extraction maintenance/repair and re-design on new machine installation/re-allocation.
Forklift Maintenance (overseeing where possible)
Long term management of tooling on the machines. Keeping an itinerary of each machine and the tooling parts ready for when replacement is needed etc
Working with the HR Assistant to ensure briefings and updates on machine training is rolled out sufficiently to the intended recipients
Liaising with OEM contacts to ensure instructed repairs are to standard.
Apprentice recruitment and training.
Requirements
Electrical Machine System Experience (18th Wiring addition desirable).
Mechanical Machine System Experience
Pneumatic Machine System Experience
Organised and Logical in thought
Hydraulic system experience
Excellent Attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of Biesse and Homag Machines would be advantageous
Fact finding and good attention to dimension details.
Good base knowledge of mathematical models to aid in controlling tolerance.
Be able to use/learn specialist electrical and mechanical measuring devices.

Salary: £40,000.00 per year (Excellent salary offered to the right candidate)
