Job description
With 50 years of experience, System Six Kitchens is a family-run manufacturer and retailer of stylish, bespoke Kitchens. Due to expansion, we are now looking for a Project Designer to work within our Trade and Contracts Departments in Exeter.
Although previous CAD/Kitchen Design experience is not essential for the role and full training will be provided, candidates with qualifications in Interior Design or with previous experience working within the home improvement industry would be preferred.
We are looking for ambitious individuals looking to a forge a long-term career in the industry and in return, can demonstrate a clear path of career progression.
Responsibilities
Create innovative and functional Kitchen Layouts using Winner Design Software.
Accurately and competently scale off architectural plans, customer provided drawings or attending site surveys to obtain measurements to design from.
To work in collaboration with Trade or Contracts Project Teams, following instructed design briefs or having creative license to inspire through outstanding design vision.
Create customer handover and sign off packs which contain the latest plans, perspectives, and quotations for our customers and installers.
To keep fully abreast of the latest Kitchen design trends, CAD catalogue updates and manufacturing enhancements, becoming the leading department design expert.
Attend weekly sales meetings and be able to comprehensively report on upcoming/weekly workloads when asked by the Commercial Sales Manager.
Potential career progression to a Senior Project Designer or Project Coordinator role in the Trade or Contracts Departments.
Requirements
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and keep each project moving towards an end goal.
Thrive working in a fast-paced target driven environment, being able to prioritise workloads and meet tight submission deadlines.
Impeccable attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.

Reporting To: Charlie Roberts (Commercial Sales Manager)
Hours of work: 39hours per week. Monday – Thursday 8am – 16:30pm, Friday 8am – 15:30pm
Salary: £26,000.00 per year
