The layout has been planned perfectly to allow Mr & Mrs Pyne to look out onto their balcony and onwards to the sea, whilst standing at the hob or sitting at the island end table.

I visited lots of different companies and showrooms but when I talked to Alex at System 6 Kitchens, I felt he understood my vision, what I wanted to achieve. I was able to see a corian worktop on display in the showroom, which confirmed my decision to use this in my kitchen. How much input did you have in the design process? I had already designed about 95% of the kitchen, I knew what I wanted. Alex helped tidy up my ideas and make them practical. What is your favourite part of your kitchen? The layout. Everything is in the right place. I can cook on the hob whilst chatting to friends either sat at the table or out on the balcony and my wine fridge is close at hand! How was your relationship with the designer? Excellent. Alex visited the site several times to ensure the design was correct.

He suggested internal finishing touches such as a pullout bin and drawer organizers that I didn’t realize were available. They are excellent and make things so much easier. Laying breakfast is a doddle. Why did you choose this particular kitchen? I wanted a modern sleek look with clean lines. Describe your experience once the fitting of your new Kitchen started? Paul the fitter was great. He worked with my builders and worked around issues well. Was the project dealt with with a problem solving attitude? There were issues during the design process as the building was very different to begin with. It used to be a bar/conservatory/disabled toilet! A stud wall also needed to be put in during the process but this was all worked around well. Now that your kitchen is completed is it all that you dreamt off? Yes, this is my dream kitchen. I love it! Would you recommend System 6 kitchens? Yes, definitely. What have your Friends and Family said about your New Kitchen? They absolutely love it. I always show them my drawer organizers too (Blum ORGA-LINE plate holders/cross dividers/complete kits), which they think are a brilliant idea.
